Logos Portugueses is a real non-profit project that aims to create graphic brands related to Portugal. This may be the case if they were designed by national designers or developed for Portuguese institutions.
The task was to design a cover and visual identity for a fictional book series that could be adapted to different formats. The book series was about Portuguese design, including Logo Portugueses.
I developed two ideas for each and then went with the typographic version because it worked better for the visual identity. I also tried out different colour variations. In the end, I chose the orange and pink version because it is the most pleasing to the eye, yet still has a striking effect and therefore stands out on the bookshelf. The playful typography can be easily transferred to other formats or titles without losing its recognisability.
